The last few weeks have been a blur, between holidays, snow days and delays sometimes I wonder if we’re coming or going!
We shifted our concentration in the room to ourselves, who we are, what makes us unique, as well as the qualities and characteristics that make us the same. We’ve been reading a plethora of books about individualism such as Hair love, We are all alike we are all different,
I like myself, Stand tall Molly Lou Mellon, and All bodies are cool. We love to share as a class about our own uniquenesses like our eye colors, the freckles and moles on our skin, hair color and even our family dynamics.
We’ve also kept up with some favorite books about shapes (and new ones too) along with some fun process art related to the shapes. In the next few weeks we will merge these two projects together with our own self portraits!

We’ve switched our train table out for hallow blocks, and the children have enjoyed building more large scale structures with them! It’s always nice to add this material into the room during the winter months when some days are too cold to get outside.

With the arrival of snow though (and more mild temperatures than the last few weeks) we’ve made sure to bundle up each day and to get out (as possibly eat) some fresh snow.

Lastly we enjoyed buddies on Friday morning and prancing pony yoga in the afternoon as part of our winter Friday!

Have a lovely weekend!
